Cambodia 2023 marked the first SEA Games hosted by the Kingdom. AirAsia is a partner of the #BeyondTheGames initiative together with the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) which aims at bolstering tourist numbers to Cambodia in the aftermath of the Games. AirAsia Cambodia was founded in late 2022 and started operations in April 2024. The aircraft was transferred to Thai AirAsia in August 2024.

JourneyD is an initiative by AirAsia working towards sustainable community tourism promotion and development, based on the Sustainable Development Goals guidelines of the United Nations (Xiamen Air notably has a special livery also promoting these guidelines). It is Thai AirAsia's response to the government's Pracharat Policy Programme aiming at elevating the quality of life of communities through contextual development and with sustainability; the program includes helping the development of locally made products, sustainable practices in tourism-related activities and easy access to English lessons via the airline's employees.

The theme of Thailand's 2019 chairmanship of the ASEAN organisation is "Advancing Partnership for Sustainability". AirAsia has been a partner of ASEAN for a long time and this livery shows its concern about overtourism which has now forced ASEAN countries to strike a balance between welcoming visitors and battling overcrowding, congestion and pollution. Note the decals on 9M-AJW/PK-AZS (second image) have a very light blue background tone in comparison to the ones on HS-BBJ (first image).Thailand 2019 titles disappeared when 9M-AJW was transferred to the Indonesia branch in 2023.

The theme for the 2018 campaign of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) was "Amazing Thailand: Open to the New Shades". This livery was designed to be "a glimpse of the daily life of a Thai fruit vendor, who’s selling her goods out of a wooden boat while rowing past amazing scenes of natural beauty, complemented by Thai artisan design motifs". It was the 5th aircraft in the series, known as Colourful Tara, with tara meaning water in Thai folk literature.
